Finding My Way Back

Finding My Way Back

“Welcome” and “Welcome Back” to the blog! My last blog post was uploaded in October 2021. Whew a lot has happened in the last year and I’m so glad to be back! Since my last post, I have:

– Begun therapy – Experienced some depression – Faced some things I wanted to run from – Learned more about myself (some good and some not so good) – Made both some good decisions and bad decisions – Cried more than I probably have in my whole life – Made some life changes – Started some things and ended others – Got a special SONpup CooperJax❤️ – But the BIGGEST thing I’ve done is stood toe to toe with the enemy and told him “I am child of the King and His love for me will never end. He is faithful to His Word. I am exactly who He says I am. LOVED. CHOSEN. FORGIVEN. REDEEMED. CALLED.”

I needed that time. I needed the cry and the reset.  I needed to sit before God. I needed to return to my why. And now more than ever do I see God in everything around me. I almost decided to give up on the blog, but God reminded me and showed me time and time again, WHY I was called.

Through it all, I remembered this:

For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven……a time to embrace and a time to turn away. Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

God is so good, and his mercies are new every morning. Lamentations 3:22-24

Sometimes life has its way of throwing us into a whirlwind. Telling us that we aren’t worthy. That our current is as good as it will get. That there is no one. That maybe God wasn’t including me in His Word. Our lives will pull and tug us in different directions. Sometimes life is “life-ing” so much we begin to feel overwhelmed. That’s what began to happen with me. I got so busy and distracted with life, it all felt overbearing. And if you are anything like me, when I get overwhelmed, I tend to shut down. I had to find my way back.

But for this blog I just want to take a moment to encourage you. Whoever you are reading this.

God’s love is perfect. He IS love. He loves with no regard to persons. His promises of protection, provision, and peace are for us all. Nothing is too big for him, and nothing is too small for him. He knows the desires of your heart and He also hears it’s cries. His plan is perfect, and He makes no mistakes. He will never leave you, ever. When you go through the fire, He is with you. When life feels overbearing, remember to cast your cares, for He will give you rest. All we must do is seek Him first and trust in Him. In our weakness, we can lean on His strength. He is faithful. And this, I know for sure.

God never promised us a life without suffering, in fact, he specifically states that we will. In times of frustrations, it’s easy to give up, but remember we put our hope in God alone.

While typing this, my eyes are watering because, God has really shown out in my life lately. He has blessed me immeasurably and kept me through life’s transitions and frustrations. I’m grateful for it all and SOOOOOO happy to be back in!

I look forward to all that is to come with HisWill_HerLife and stay tuned because we have a lot to talk about! God has downloaded some great topics to me and I’m excited.

But until the next blog post, I would like to leave you with this;

Remember the story of Martha in Luke 10:38-42? Martha lived with her sister Mary and one day as Jesus was travelling, they invited him into their home. Martha got busy with cleaning and preparing and Mary on the hand, went and sat at the Lord’s feet. When Martha expressed her frustrations to the Lord, his response was “Martha, Martha, you are worried and bothered about so many things; but only one thing is necessary, for Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.”

The Lord didn’t say that what Martha was doing was unnecessary or wrong, he simply said she was “worried” about so many things, but all that was needed was for her to sit at His feet. This is a reminder that although we get busy with life and tending to our responsibilities, God calls us to spend time with him. We miss out on so much when we don’t spend time at the feet of Jesus. That is where we will find renewed strength.

Mark 4:4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”

What is pulling you away from spending time with the Lord?💡
